From the humans who brought you the Academy Award-winning Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse and The LEGO Movie comes The Mitchells vs. The Machines, an animated action-comedy about an ordinary family who find themselves in the middle of their biggest family challenge yet…saving the world from the robot apocalypse. No big deal, right? It all starts when creative outsider Katie Mitchell is accepted into the film school of her dreams and is eager to leave home and find “her people,” when her nature-loving dad insists on having the whole family drive her to school and bond during one last totally-not-awkward-or-forced road trip. But just when the trip can’t get any worse, the family suddenly finds itself in the middle of the robot uprising! Everything from smart phones, to roombas, to evil Furbys are employed to capture every human on the planet. Now it’s up to the Mitchells, including upbeat mom Linda, quirky little brother Aaron, their squishy pug, Monchi, and two friendly, but simple-minded robots to save humanity.

  1. While the dad and his daughter are in the sky, while they defeat the robots near the end of he movie, the song they are singing is actually a song (or part of a song) I heard in Happy Feet 2.

  2. They suggest to go eat burritos afterwards, a Avengers reference. Also the moments where mom entered god-mode were heavy Kill Bill inspired

  3. In my opinion, Katie is an example of a good inclusive character (She is a girl and LGTB and She is not a Mary Sue and the film is not reminding us that she is part of the LGTB community).

  4. hay you knowe the moment that the pal creator was being use like a phone thats happening to your phone every day

  5. before rick showed all the things about the car you can see the stuff in the back of the car and you can see a bag of red chips, the red chips linda was eating in the start ("and we are hungry, for action")

  6. The CCofF brochure had a picture of the school on it. I swear it's the same school from Sixteen Candles, a John Hughes film.

  7. Can I just say that I love Katie and Aaron's sibling relationship? It's basically the soul of the movie and they make a great team 🙂 and Aaron is my favorite character. I was first afraid he would be like Sheldon Cooper but he's a sweet kid 🙂

  8. You missed the noise of the camera turning on when the dad turns on the film, it is the same noise as the actual camera

  9. Omg ive been watching this movie a hundred times and I finally released that katie is gay after watching this video

  10. The golden firehydrent on Katie's bedroom wall is a refrence to the dog bathroom in hotel for dogs

  11. The burger videos from Katie’s movies I kind of just looked at it and it kind of looks like the burgers that Ed was imagining from good burger

  12. God i loved this movie. They made Katie an amazing and relatable protagonist, and somebody i could connect with on a personal level.

  13. when they are about to start the final plan and the father says that in the end they are going to celebrate by going to eat at a restaurant … isn't it a reference to Shaun of the dead?

  14.
